Adaptive
Fault Masking With Incoherence Scoring
Abstract:
An
adaptive voting algorithm for digital media was introduced
in this study. Availability was improved by incoherence
scoring in voting mechanism of Multi-Modular Redundancy.
Regulation parameters give the algorithm flexibility of
adjusting priorities in decision process. Proposed
adaptive voting algorithm was shown to be more aware of
fault status of redundant modules.

Introduction:
An
approach for developing more reliable systems was
presented in the study. Proposed adaptive fault masking
algorithm can be used for reducing errors in hardware,
software and communication channels. Algorithm monitors
redundant modules and decides which of them produces the
most likely correct output.
Advantages
and disadvantages of the algorithm were discussed and
performance comparison with other voters types were done
in the paper. Matlab simulation environment supporting
article was given as supporting material to whom wants to
study on subject. You can freely use, modify and correct
the codes. Please, report us (alagozb@oncubilim.net) any
corrections or modifications you made, so that we can
deliver better version of codes. We appreciate that you
send us your article and codes based on the subject. We
want to share them here.
